Re-establishment of Islamic Economy

Islamic Economics’  history, today and future were discussed in the first workshop which is entitled as ‘Basic Concepts and Thoughts’’. Islamic Economic’s basic concepts and thoughts are considered on a preferential basis, intelectual  and hypotethical basis are questioned in the field.

The first workshop took place in cooperation with Association of  Entrepreneurship and Business Ethics (IGIAD) , Association of Science Culture Education (ILKE) and Scientific Studies Society (ILEM).

The workshop brought together various academicians are expert in their field and 11 papers were presented and discussed in the 1st workshop that took place in The Green Park Hotel..

In the presentations, remarks are made that Islamic economy should be separated completely from mainstream economy by constituting its own concepts and proceeding through its own terminology

In the workshop, current economic system which is created by capitalist western civilization is criticized. It is concluded that economic understanding should take form acording to Islamic rules.

Additionally, problems of Islamic finance  are mentioned in the workshop and fatwa based approach is found problematic. ‘Sheriah policy’ which is applied in banks are also criticized that such policy can only be applied by a Muslim government.
